About this disclaimer
SIP to Retire is run by Sanjay Singh Kushwaha, an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund & SIF Distributor (ARN-364557) ("SIP to Retire", "we", "us", "our"). This disclaimer applies to the SIP to Retire website and its sub-domains, its tools, emails, alerts and messages, and anything we publish or share through them (together, the "Service").
By using the Service you accept this disclaimer. It forms part of our Terms of use, which also apply; where the two differ on a point, the Terms prevail. Please also read our Disclosures andCommission disclosure. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Market risk
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully.
- Before investing, read the scheme's Scheme Information Document (SID), Statement of Additional Information (SAI) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM), available from the asset management company (AMC) concerned and on AMFI's website. The same applies to the offer documents of a Specialized Investment Fund (SIF).
- The net asset value (NAV) of a scheme can go up or down with securities markets, interest rates, credit events and other factors. You may get back less than you invested, including loss of the principal amount.
- Each scheme carries a riskometer set by its AMC. A scheme's risk level, portfolio and expenses can change over time; the scheme documents and the AMC's latest disclosures are the authoritative source.
- Investments in mutual funds are not bank deposits and are not insured by any government agency or by us.
Past performance and returns
- Past performance may or may not be sustained in future and is not an indication of future returns. Returns shown on the Service, including CAGR, XIRR, rolling and trailing returns, are historical and calculated on the data available to us at the time.
- We do not promise, and nothing on the Service should be read as a promise of, any return, income, dividend, capital protection or outcome. No scheme's past ranking or rating predicts its future position.
- Unless stated otherwise, returns are before tax and before any exit load, and do not reflect your own investment dates or amounts. Your actual returns will differ.
Information, not advice
Everything on the Service, including articles, guides, fund pages, research tools, rankings, calculators, alerts, replies to general questions and AI-assisted features, is general information for education. It isnot personalised investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, not a research report, and not an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any scheme or security.
We are not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst and do not charge a fee for advice. Any explanation we give while helping you invest is incidental to our role as a distributor; the decision to invest, and the choice of scheme, amount and timing, is always yours.
Suitability and your own advice
A scheme that suits one investor may not suit another. Before investing, consider your financial goals, risk appetite, investment horizon, liquidity needs, existing investments and tax position.
Please discuss your investment decisions with your financial adviser before investing, and consult a tax adviser for the tax treatment of your investments, which depends on your circumstances and can change with the law.
Data sources and accuracy
- Data on the Service comes from public and third-party sources, including AMFI, AMCs and their registrars, index providers, regulators, government statistics and other data providers. NAVs and portfolios are published with a delay and may be revised by their source.
- We take reasonable care in collecting and processing this data, but it is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. It may contain errors, omissions or delays, including those of the original source.
- Always verify important information, such as NAV, expense ratio, exit load, riskometer and portfolio, with the scheme documents and the AMC's official disclosures before you act on it. If the Service and an official document differ, the official document prevails.
- Our methods are explained on the Methodology page.
Calculators and projections
Calculators, goal planners, retirement projections and similar tools are illustrative only. Their results depend on the assumptions you enter or that we use (for example rates of return, inflation and tax), which are simplified and may not hold. They are not a forecast, a promise of returns or a recommendation, and they do not account for every cost, tax or change in law. Calculators run on your device and do not take into account your full financial situation.
Rankings, lists and comparisons
Lists, screeners and comparisons are sorted by the metric shown, over the period shown, using the method on the Methodology page. They are not recommendations, ratings or endorsements of any scheme or AMC, and a different metric or period can give a different order.
Our role and commission
- We act as a distributor. Investments made through us are in the Regular plan of a scheme, on which the AMC pays us commission. Commission rates differ between AMCs and schemes; see the Commission disclosure.
- Every scheme also has a Direct plan, which has a lower expense ratio and pays no distributor commission. You can invest in Direct plans with the AMC or on other platforms without us.
- Information about schemes we do not distribute, or that pay us no commission, is shown on the same basis as any other scheme.
How investments are executed
Investments made through us are executed on the systems of the AMCs, their registrars and transfer agents (RTAs) and the exchange and industry platforms permitted for mutual fund distributors. Payments go from your bank account to the AMC or the platform's clearing account, never to us, and units are allotted in your name by the AMC. Applicable NAV, cut-off times, allotment and redemption are governed by the scheme documents and the rules of those platforms; we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, delays or outages.
Third-party links and content
The Service links to websites, documents and services run by others, such as AMCs, registrars, regulators, news sources and messaging services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or practices, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. Opinions in third-party content are their authors' own.
Investors outside India
The Service is meant for investors who may lawfully invest in Indian mutual funds. Nothing on it is an offer or solicitation in any jurisdiction where that would be unlawful. Some AMCs do not accept investments from residents of certain countries (for example the United States or Canada); Non-Resident Indians should check the scheme documents and the rules of their country of residence. Amounts shown in another currency are approximate conversions for reading only; investments are made in Indian rupees.
No warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, about the Service, its content or tools, or the products described on it, including about accuracy, completeness, suitability for a purpose, or uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, however caused, arising from the use of, or reliance on, the Service, its information, data, calculators or tools, or any third-party website or service linked from it, including investment losses, market movements and loss of profit, data or opportunity. The limits and exceptions in the Terms of use apply. Nothing in this disclaimer limits a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded, or our obligations as a distributor under SEBI and AMFI rules.
Governing law and jurisdiction
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction set out in theTerms of use: the courts at Mysuru, Karnataka, India, without affecting the grievance and regulatory routes described below.
Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer when the law, the rules of SEBI or AMFI, or the Service change. The version and date at the top of this page show when it last changed; the version in force when you use the Service applies.
